What's new with me?

Well, to be honest, not much. Week after hellacious week ends usually on a good note, with some beer. You can't beat that.

Was up in Buffalo for most of last week and last weekend for my buddy Ed's wedding. We had a great time seeing friends and family. Elaine and I visited most of our Buffalo favorite food joints (not good for the gut), such as Mighty Taco (as soon as we got there!), Kentucky Greg's, and Magruders for a fish fry and a night of Beer and the Sabres game. All in all a good time. Our next time in Buffalo will probably be in April or May sometime.

On a personal note, I've been studying hard for my next IT certification (70-236, deploying Exchange 2007) and I have booked my exam for next Tuesday. I'm real excited to get this one under my belt, which I believe I can... becuase I will be the first (as far as I know) in my company to have the the certification. That'll be quite exciting for me.

Elaine and I have been looking for houses (I know it's early, but) in the Maynard/Acton MA area for quite a while now. Realistically, it'll probably be a year or so before we'll be ready for a house. But we're already scoping out areas of interest. There's alot of nice old houses in the area with alot of character. Plus, it will be close to work for me. Perhaps Elaine will find a job out near me... wouldn't that be great for the both of us? She works on the other side of Worcester and I work about 20 minutes from Boston.

Anyways, that's about it. I hope to have a pretty relaxing weekend this weekend, but do some cramming for my test on Tuesday. Wish me luck.

Sabres/Bruins game last night

Elaine and I ventured to downtown Boston last night to catch our team the Buffalo Sabres on the road. We were in section 304, and both sections 303 and 304 were filled with Sabres fans. Very loud "Let's Go Buffalo!" chants could be heard throughout the Garden.

The Sabres didn't play bad. In fact, they had a ton of shots on net (most of them were flaky though) and they kept the puck in the Bruins end for almost the entire game. But they didn't too many good shots on net nor were they crashing the net like they should've. Bruins goalie Tim Thomas was outstanding last night. The Sabres just couldn't get it done. Miller didn't have much of a challenge, and because of that, I believe he wasn't on his game. He was hanging out watching the action from the other side of the rink most of the night, and the Bruins capitalized on that.

Anyway, we had a good time hanging out with some Buffalonians who made the trip up, and with members of the Boston Bills Backers (of which we got the tickets through).

The pictures can be viewed here at my Picasa Web Album.
